The one constant in any thriving restaurant scene is change, and Palm Springs certainly fits the bill. Regular visitors often have their favorite Palm Springs restaurants but find a need to explore the new offerings as well. Your taste buds will not be disappointed with our rundown of some of the hottest new restaurants in Palm Springs. Be sure to bring your appetite and don’t forget to save room for dessert!
The Draughtsman is the newest restaurant opening on the north side of the Uptown District in Palm Springs. The Draughtsman is best described as an renderer of elevated pub fare with an extensive collection of draft beers and hand-crafted cocktails in an atmosphere of laid back fun. The building was formerly a Pizza Hut but has undergone extensive renovations to highlight the unique architecture of Palm Springs with exterior walls that completely open to allow an al fresco dining experience while inside. The outside patio area is comfortably appointed with sitting areas including fire pits for those cooler evenings and an outdoor recreation area. Large screen televisions surround the bar area providing an excellent vantage point for watching your favorite sports teams and the big game. The Draughtsman has a comfortable neighborhood feel perfect for casual drinks and dining. Appetizers (try the Guiness Onion Soup), sandwiches, salads and burgers are available all day ($8-$16) while dinner entrees ($18-$29) are available from 5-11 pm. The Draughtsman is located at 1501 N. Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.
